As an owner and cabinetmaker of a small cabinetmaking business, I have been using 3D Kitchen software for approx 4 years and have been extremely happy with it.

Its features include its ease to use (even with limited computer knowledge), ability to build custom built library to suit our company requirements, ability to price work precisely and the ability to create cutting list, with the added advantage of linking to our Altendorf saw.

When needed, technical support is just a telephone call away.

I highly recommend 3D Kitchen, as not only has it has saved numerous hours per job from quoting to cutting, but our customers are able to see their design in both a detailed floor layout and 3D design, which allows them to visualise their new kitchen, thus adding that extra professional touch to the overall quote and job.

We purchased 3D Kitchen in August 2004 and have never looked back. Not being a computer head myself, it has been reasonably easy to pick up. At first, it was all too much, but I tell you, you really need to see it through and you will receive the rewards. I am now at the stage of drawing and cutlisting our own customised cabinets, and really getting the full benefit from 3D Kitchen.

I have found the designing side of this to be great, as it impresses my clients greatly, and especially gives the ladies a peak preview into the future, so to speak. However, I did not buy this program for the pretty pictures, but for the costing and production details, and the speed of all this. What used to take me 4 hours on a basic kitchen before, now takes me 1 hour. The stationery costs have now gone through the roof, but paper and ink is cheaper than the time and mistakes that we were experiencing before.

I really took to the way that we could mold this program to our way of doing things, and not us to it. I can give my workers a detailed benchtop, or kicker layout including all dimensions at any time with no fuss. You can keep your finger on the pulse with margins and generate a profit report of not just the kitchen, but each individual item in the job.

Optimisation saves me heaps of money, as my workers do not have to work on the papers once they leave my office. It's not about making them lazy or not having them think, but to be generating time to be making me real money in other areas because all the thinking has been done.

If you're thinking about taking a step forward, think again. Take 2 steps forward and introduce 3D Kitchen to your factory.

Hunters Kitchens and Bathrooms supply cabinet making services to Central Queensland and the Western mining areas of Central Queensland. Since installing 3D Kitchen in November, 1999, we have been able to provide each quote with a 3d drawing of the proposed bathroom or kitchen. Our clients have enjoyed the convenience of viewing their kitchens and bathrooms prior to even accepting a quote. We believe this has boosted our sales to a great degree and added a level of professionalism we were unable to achieve prior to this program being used.

Working with 3D Kitchen has proven relatively easy to work with. I had only basic use of computers prior to installing 3D Kitchen. Following two days training, I am proud to say I was relatively proficient in the working of the 3D Kitchen Chris Adams from 3D Kitchen has always been very helpful in new drawings, upgrades and ongoing advice and assistance.

My staff find the cutting lists to be very user friendly and on difficult door cutting lists, the optimiser becomes very handy. Further, my quoting process has become that much more accurate.

We have been using 3D Kitchen for the last 2 years and we are more than satisfied with the results we have gained from it. Learning to operate it was easy with only a few hours needed to learn the basics and Chris is always only a phone call away to answer a questions. There is also a tutorial you can refer to.

Chris has built us our own library of units, suited to our construction methods, which we add to all the time. This we do over the Internet in just a few hours. As cutting lists are derived from the drawings, accuracy and time savings are achieved.

The 3D drawings are a great selling tool with the customers as what they see is what they get. Customer individual colour schemes can also be featured.
